Who is eligible to enroll at PRIDE Prep?

PRIDE Prep is for 6th through 12th grade students.

For the 2015-2016 school year, PRIDE Prep is accepting applications for 6th and 7th graders.

Each year, we will add an additional grade. For the 2016-2017 school year, we will accept 6th, 7th and 8th graders, and so on. By 2021, we will accept all grades from 6th through 12th.


How do I enroll in PRIDE Prep?

First, you will need the consent of your parent or guardian.

Fill out and submit our enrollment form. Your information is then entered into the lottery held every March.

If we draw your name, you will complete registration paperwork to hold your seat at PRIDE Prep.  If you are not selected you are placed on a waiting list if space becomes available.

What is the deadline for enrollment?

Enrollment information must be received prior to February 25, 2015, to be eligible for the lottery. The lottery will take place in March 2015.


When is the first day of school?

PRIDE Prep will open its door to students on September 2, 2015 for the 2015-2016 school year. The school year lasts 190 days. The school day is every weekday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. 


Where is PRIDE Prep located?

We are located at 811 E. Sprague Ave, Suite A. This space offers a unique learning environment with quick access to downtown Spokane and the University District, as well as being a convenient distance from each of our local neighborhoods to facilitate swift transportation.


What is the cost to attend?

There is no cost to attend. PRIDE Prep is an independent public charter school funded like a traditional public school.


Does PRIDE Prep offer extra-curricular activities?

We offer activities based on the interests of our enrolled students.


Is breakfast and lunch offered?

We provide breakfast and lunch at costs similar to traditional public schools.


Is transportation to the school provided?

Yes. We provide transportation for some students within the Spokane Public Schools boundary areas.

PRIDE staff will contact students directly to discuss specific transportation arrangements.


Does PRIDE Prep do assessment testing?

We are required to participate in any state and federally mandated assessment similar to a traditional public school.
